About AJ - Founder of Retro Snake
Meet AJ the Creator, the super dope 9-year-old artist and founder of Retro Snake, a brand all about his love for anime art, Geometry Dash, and of course, snakes! AJ was originally inspired by his mom, who started her own store, and he wanted to do something just as awesome.
AJ dreams of making his brand bigger and better than his mom's (his inspiration), selling lots of art, products, and cool things with his retro snake designs.
The Start of Retro Snake
AJ started his first digital art creations in Midjourney Niji generating and prompting art, then over the months he also started drawing his own designs and ideas on paper and then learned how to make them even better with digital tools like Procreate. His art is full of anime characters, Godzilla, reptiles, and bright colors.
AJ's latest drawings are inspired by his love of Minecraft demon faces, but his original anime style in Midjourney Niji came from his love of Pokémon and Anime shows, so all of his art is influenced by what he has seen and experienced, which makes them really special.
The Inspiration
When it comes to designing new products or coming up with new designs, he's the boss when it comes to Retro Snake, making almost all the creative choices himself, with just a little help from his mom.
This summer, AJ is going to learn even more about making art with computers at a special summer camp. He's also getting ready for something really exciting—a solo art show in early June, where he'll show all his amazing snake art to everyone.
AJ's big dream is to travel to Japan for a big artistic fun adventure and to show his art there too. He believes he can do it, and we do too!
